...the silence...

I wish I had the words to put out there what I found on my first day of Lent...

...the descriptions that would explain where He took my heart and how my mind fared the journey.

...the verbiology (...still my blog-still my words...) to paint the pictures of the low that manifested itself within the extreme high of His will.

I set out, ready for the first steps of a 40 day walk that leads to His side...

...into the eye of the storm that is myself.

...out of the selfishness that can be my own mind.

It wasn't what I expected.

It wasn't how I thought it would go.

I expected the thunder...

...the winds

...the storm

I expected the sound of His voice...

...and instead, I found ....the silence....

I promise that I am not waxing poetic today.  I had every intention of writing a "full" post...of using my mad skilled wit and charm...of working up something different.  But my mind still stands frozen after a day so full of His will being worked that I haven't any other words to say.

Maybe tomorrow...maybe...

Listening to while looking up as always...

I think you have gained the purpose of Lent- taking you not where you thought it would go. God is amazing...

Be still, and know that I am God; ~Psalm 26:10

You are not alone in this place of silence.

"...into the eye of the storm that is myself." I know that place. You put it into words and I am grateful...

Bina,

I have not visited you for a while however, your poetry will flow when it flows. God speaks loudly and most often softly. He is always inspiring us and he always winks to us letting us know that he's here.

No worries my dear. Have a great weekend.
