Blessed Redeemer

Ok for those of you who may be new (and even those who have been around for awhile but just haven't been paying attention...ahem...), I love music.  And when I find music that is scripturally rich and worshipfully intense, I find that breathe and absorb it as it gets my heart pumping, my soul burning and helps to restore my passion and my focus on Him. (Yes, I realize that worshipfully might not be a word...but just go with me...)

So imagine how happy I was to go onto iTunes this morning and find that one my top fave bands, Casting Crowns, had dropped their new album...and when this one particular song started, my heart caught in my chest and I couldn't help but close my eyes in worship and praise as I sat at my computer, in my PJs, my dog barking at the neighbors and dirty dishes calling from the sink...  And lucky for you, someone who loves CC as much as I do posted vids of all the new music so I can share it with you here...

I am getting nothing from posting about this song or this group...nothing other than the joy of sharing my heartbeat with you who are reading this post.  It really is my heartfelt prayer that you would please take the 4 minutes it takes for this song to play and just stop and simply worship...it is worth it as He is most worthy.

Don't forget to pause my playlist over on the left before you hit play...and when you do, you can scroll down to see the poetic lyrics to this amazing musical offering, laid before His feet by my heart...and hopefully yours as well.

Up Calvary’s mountain one dreadful morn
Walked Christ my Savior, weary and worn
Facing for sinners death on the cross
That He might save them from endless loss

Blessed Redeemer, precious Redeemer
Seems now I see Him on Calvary’s tree
Wounded and bleeding, for sinners pleading
Blind and unheeding, dying for me

“Father, forgive them,” my Savior prayed
Even while His lifeblood flowed fast away
Praying for sinners while in such woe
No one but Jesus ever loved so

Blessed Redeemer, precious Redeemer
Seems now I see Him on Calvary’s tree
Wounded and bleeding, for sinners pleading
Blind and unheeding, dying for me
Dying for me

Oh how I love Him, Savior and friend
How can my praises ever find end
Through years unnumbered on Heaven’s shore
My songs shall praise Him forevermore

Listening to Blessed Redeemer while looking up as always...
