Batting .200

Can you believe that it has been a year since I totally immersed myself in this world called Blogger??  Isn't that crazy??  They say that time flies when you are having fun...and I must've been having a blast because this, my friends, is my 200th post!!

I know, I know.  Most of you are wishing you had known so you could've brought me a gift or, at the very least, a card...but that's ok!  You being here, reading my ramblings, is gift enough.  (But for those of you who are insistant, email me and I will provide my home address so you can mail off goodies for the party...)

I really wish, this being such a monumental post and all, that I had something earth shattering to share with you all who are kind enough to still be reading after my that unselfish gift hint...and in a way, I guess I do.  Are you ready for it???

Me.  Bina.  I'm back to the blogger after a month's muuuch needed vacation.

...does this mean I don't still get that gift???

Fine...but I at least hope you will still pop in and visit with me.

Oh, yay!!

Welp, summer is still in full swing in our house...but I do praise God for a break in the heat which kept my family chained to our pool!  Our a/c is out ~ both in the house AND my leather-seated car ~ so sweat has been a constant companion that seems to leave only when immersed in the cool waters of our little oasis out back.  I am pretty sure that I have been in that pool more in the last 2 weeks than I have in my whole life...and not only am I cooler, but I am noticing that, by the way my shorts are fitting lately, exercise DOES do a body good!!  Who knew?!?!

So, as a way to ease back into the world-o-blogging, I thought I'd mix in some book reviews on some amazing reads I stumbled into this summer.  These aren't my "normal" type of review as these will all be books I have purchased on my own...but they will for sure be ones that will always have a home on my personal bookshelf as they influenced my heart, my mind and/or (if really good) my laughter. 


So...hope to see you guys around the Blogger...and I pray your summer has been as full (if much cooler) as mine has been thus far.

Got any book recommendations for me?? Books you read that just blew you away??  I am on the last "choice" in my pile so would love to find some new titles!!
